I've been reading a lot that there is a "thermal" throttle of the 2015 Alienware 15 for machines equipped with GTX980m when using 180W PSU and the "solution" is to use 240W PSU. There are some people online who actually show comparison showing that the difference is not noticeable using benchmark if anything after the A00 BIOS, PSU is not an issue.

Has anyone else at this forums tested the difference between using 180W PSU v.s. 240W PSU specifically for Alienware 15 with i7-4710HQ with GTX970m?

    Thanks
