    Hello everyone

I've had my Alienware 15" R3 (i7 6700HQ, 4K UHD, GTX1080) for about a week now. I've noticed that when playing games or software that has sound effects and music, I get a crackling noise whether using the laptop's speakers or headsets (plugged directly into the headphone out). After some trial and error, I noticed that this was only affecting the soundtrack in games and not the sound effects. It was also affecting YouTube videos.

I was able to eliminate this crackling by disabling the alienware sound control app (can't remember the name of the software).

I will probably try to uninstall and reinstall this software. Has anyone else experienced this? Any other tips? In checking the Realtek controller, I see that all of my drivers are current as per the Dell website.

    Thanks.

Noticed the same problem with standard Windows "beep". First thought that the speakers might be broken but tried Spotify and that worked fine. Didn't try anything else though as I plan to reinstall Windows anyway.

    Hi there
I know how to uninstall and reinstall drivers, and how to INSTALL a BIOS but how do I re/uninstall a BIOS? Just copy the same one over?
