When hooking up the AGA should I be using the back of the laptop HDMI or the card in the AGA? I hooked it up to the laptop and have been using that but is that slowing anything down?

Also when I quickly tried the AGA I only got sound from the PC not the TV

Connect directly to the GPU in the AGA otherwise there is performance loss.

Check your audio / playback settings.

That should do it. To get the best out of the Amplifier, always use the ports in it. The ports in the laptop will run through the Intel card.
