    Hi guys,
I am a bit stumped here, I bought 2x 8gb sticks of Patriot DDR3 ram to try and upgrade my Alienware 13 from the standard 8gb, It keeps giving me the 4 beep bios error, I have shorted out the bios battery, removed battery etc and pressed FN +power button to no avail.
I tested both sticks and get the same issue so i assume the laptop might not be compatible with it.
    They are Patriot PSD38G13332S
I am not sure which version of the Alienware 13 i have but its got the I7-5500U wand A07 bios.

    Cheers,
    Dan.

I think you need to buy DDR3/DDR3L compatible RAM sticks. Broadwell uses DDR3L.
