    so, i decided to make my custom back panel to enhance the entrance of air and reduce the heat of RAM (yes DDR3L memory gets HOT) and reduce the heat of SSD ( it wasn't a problem ) but you know ... cooler is better, also it looks badass
    i designed the the panel to fit perfectly and put the vent grills strategically to be in the place of the components i told you ...
    i used a laser cutter and acrylic of 2mm thickness. to hold the panel in place i used transparent double side tape, because i dont have the screws of the same tick as the original cover. i will make the holes with a dremel i have and add them later ...

    @judal57: You're mod master.
    @VICKYGAMEBOY: Do you have exact dimension of which Thermal pad should I use for PCH, is it 1.0mm stacked on 1.5mm or 1.5mm only. I am thinking of Fujipoly or Arctic whichever is available at affordable prices.

    Is there any place that sells just one? I don't need 20 of them to do one chip.

    i can do one here and send it to you. also i can do it and engrave your name or alienware logo, etc. also i can do it on different colors. it will cost you 10 dolars plus shipping. i will send you the panel with 2 double side tape on 2 sides, so you only have to remove the the protection from the tape and put on place :)

    if someone want one for a 17r2 or 17 r3 , have to send me a scan of the panel, then here i can measure the length and make the precise cut

    depends on where you live, you can check on hardware stores, they dont come in one piece or so, im getting imported from china, but i believe i can use it for something else, if you are in US they sell 3M 3310 on frozencpu and someother sites, 2mm heatsink..

    This is very cool! Would you be able to do one for a 13 R3 by any chance?

    that could be an interesting project. the good new is that the back panel is flat, so is possible. the bad new is that it comes with the rubber supports, so the acrylic mod have to have some kind of raisers or gums to elevate the laptop at the back.
