There is like reddish splotches on the screen in certain areas? Only shows up with darker colors like when whites up you can't see it, meanwhile when the screens black you can see it Clearly. Is this a screen issue? Software issue? It reminds me as if you were to put your finger against the screen. So I was wondering if its fixable? Should I call in on the warranty, thats not something I really want to do after hearing all the issues about that. And just to state as in the title I have an AW17 UHD screen.

What color is your alienware logo lit up to? I have some colors that bleed onto a black screen from the logo leds

Which screen model AUO or others? Use HWINFO to find out the screen model, if you google that, you might get a calibrated screen profile at notebook check.

Happens even when the logo is off, so not the issue.

    The model is AUO B173ZAN01.0 2A / AUO09b

Yeah tried a screen profile, blotches are still there. It ONLY shows up with dark colors, and I'm not really sure why. Like if the screen is white, green, light blue, etc, Its perfectly normal. Black or darker colors show and you see these reddish blotches. It kind of looks like if you were to press your thumb against the screen hard enough, except reddish. Brown maybe?

I'm going to assume its a screen issue, it only shows with darker colors though. Looks like crap because of the camera reflections, but you can see some of the reddish spots.
