Is this a Windows 8 problem?

I've turned off all the adaptive brightness, and batteries etc is set to 100%. Still, sometimes and often I can notice the brightness/contrast turn a bit down. I rly hate that. Any help?

Edit. Same thing with black. If I google black, press a picture that is all black. It goes from graywashed black to another better contrasted black. Takes about 2 seconds. I aslo hate that =)

If you are using it on battery when this is happening its because of a built in feature intel uses that changes based on what colors are on the screen, it does it to save energy. I just don't use my computer on battery anymore, happens on my Sager too.

I have tried multiple ways, but I could never get it to turn off for when the laptop is running in battery. There should be an option in your power options that allows you to disable adaptive brightness but it didn't work for me.
