    Hey guys,

So I currently own an AW17 R2, that's the one with the Killer Wireless-n/a/ac 1525 adapter. I've been experiencing a bunch of latency issues ever since I opened the box, and Dell tech support has been nothing but useless to me. I've called them several times only for them to blame my network each time because the test in SupportAssist didn't come up negative.

I'm here to talk to people who actually know what they're talking about to try and get this issue solved. I know 100% this is not a network issue, as I have other devices, and others in my house have other devices that have not seen any issues. Most notably my desktop, which is using an 8 year old (roughly) network card. My method of testing? League of Legends. My Desktop, which is literally right next to me and my laptop, can play League of Legends with a ~100ms ping, while the lowest ping my AW17 R2 achieves at any point is ~350ms.

Are there known issues with this particular adapter that I can't seem to find, or is this adapter truly just a piece of crap?

First check if your network adapater use power saving mode. Right click the battery icon and manage the power setting.

Maybe it doesn't help you but i have an issue, when i close the lid, my network adapter stop work regardless any PC settings.

    Hi,

Killer 1525 adapter should work very fine (ethernet & wifi).

Q: your poor tests, with wifi or ethernet connexion ?

Anyway, Killer programs and settings seem useless:

    with windows task manager
    -unactivate Killer program
-do not activate K Installshield (Flexera software) in windows start program list

    now in network control management:
-just unset (do not un-install) Qalcomm Atheros Banwidch control in
properties of ethernet and wifi connexion

ps: no risk, you will be able to roll-back changed options if wished

    test again ...

    (sorry for my poor english)
