I am starting to find issues with the touchpad left button. I mainly use the touchpad for gaming (FPS, RTS gameplay), and I don't use a dedicated mouse at all for anything.

I am wondering if there are ways to repair the touchpad's left button. I need to click twice, or click/press harder on the touchpad for it to register a click. Sometimes, it works normally. Sometimes, I couldn't click, and I need to resort to double-tapping on the touchpad to register a left-mouse-button click. Sometimes, it's very sensitive that I can lose window focus on applications and games if played in windowed mode.

The touchpad's right button, however, works normally, despite that I use both touchpad buttons a lot.

    1. How does one repair the touchpad if the option is available for me to DIY?
    2. Do I have to send the laptop back in to Dell to get it repaired?
    Thanks.

We'd repair it at no cost if you have a warranty. You could send me your service tag on a private message if you wish to do so. We do not recommend attempting a repair yourself because it may cause more damage. There's also the option to switch them with software.

Sure, PM sent! Please let me know if I still have warranty, because I don't know how to check.
