Anyone else having issues with the integrated intel HD graphics. I have had quite a few windows lockups (i.e. if music is playing that will freeze playing a digital errrrr noise). Only way to get out is to hold the power button down for 4sec.

It happens most times if I go into a game with it using the intel HD, otherwise sometimes randomly.

Do you think this is a driver issue or a hardware issue?

Have you tried reinstalling all Intel drivers (chipset and GFX)?

no not yet. I'll give it a go.

I also notice that if playing music or a video. everyonece and a while the sound will do an electronic errr noise randomly. Not sure if this is related to the intel HD display

Tried reinstalling all the drivers and no luck. Also ran the dell diagnostic tests (They kind of stress the GPU and other stuff) but they all passed.

I generally have a intel HD crash or freeze once a day.

And the audio is unusable as the audio from music/movies/games does the freezing errrr noise about every 2 minutes....

*** UPDATE: Fixed the sound skipping by disabling Dell Diag Control Service and Dell System Analyser in Device Manager. Theres a bug in the latest support drivers causing a DPC latency.
