    Guys,

My AW m15 has landed at home and i will be able to start tinker with it next sunday.

I have a question about storage options:

Since my unit has the 60Wh battery, will i be able to use 2 nvme SSD + the HDD? i plan on having a 256Gb SSD for the OS, 1tb SSD for games and apps and the 1tb HDD for general storage.

    Doable?

It is 1 m.2 Nvme, 1 m.2 OR SATA nvme and 1 normal bay. That’s quite a lot of storage, I’d recommend you just get a 2 TB SSD in the normal bay then deal with having 3 drivers. 256gb with windows and 2 TB SATA SSD for the rest.

Yes. Or you can leave the default 256GB on the shelf for emergency/returns, install fresh OS using Dell Recovery Tool on a new 1 or 2TB SSD. if that's not enough storage, you can put another 1 or 2TB m.2 ssd (the second slot will support the much cheaper 860 EVO on SATA). But yes, if that's still not enough you can further add up to 5TB 2.5inch HDD (or another 860 EVO up to 4TB) in exchange for forgoing the 90WHr battery (however, you may need to order the bracket from Dell).

I will install my 960 Evo 256 gb for the OS, the original 256Gb will go to storage for warranty purpose. I've ordered also a 1Tb Adata XPG sx8200 Pro, looks a pretty solid performer from what i've been reading, this will be dedicated to games and apps. My idea is to keep the 1tb SSHD originally supplied with my machine just for general storage (Docs/pictures etc...) that doesn't require fast loading times. My unit come stock with the 256Gb + 1tb SSHD, so i've got the 60WH battery on it, and i'm fine with it, i won't use the laptop on battery that much and sure enough, not for gaming on battery certainly.
