1. Disconnect the GA.
2. Install Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS x64.
3. Do all updates for Ubuntu.
4. Open Terminal, do more updates:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
5. Open Additional Driver settings panel, choose the latest nVidia driver. It will be 367.XX. Enable it. Reboot.
6. Once done, Add the following repo from Terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
7. Once done, reboot.
8. Open the Additional Drivers settings panel once more, choose the 370.XX series driver. Enable it.
9. Reboot.
10. This will be funky, especially if you are using a 1440p or 4K external display if your laptop only has a 1080p display. You need to open the Display Settings panel, turn off the laptop display and then set the proper resolution for the external display. The mouse will not line up with what you see on the screen, at least it didn't for me, your mileage may vary. After that's done, everything works fine!
This did not work previously for me when I tried it a month ago. Maybe something got updated, who knows, but seems to be working now.
