Hey guys, just wondering if it's worth it to extend my warranty for another year or two. My warranty is about to expire in June and I haven't had any problems at all with it until last month when I tried to update the bios to A06 and it bricked. It took over a month for dell to replace my mobo but it was eventually done and when I sent in my AW it was in pristine condition and came back dented and scratched to hell.. dell did replace the damaged parts. I need some advice to if it's worth it to extend the warranty and if they even give discounts or is it a set price? Also it be nice to know what some of you have paid fo2r the warranty and how long did you get. Thanks sorry for the long post

In stock is totally different from not being available at all. From what I have seen until now. If they cant fix it, they will replace it with a new model.

I took 2 years NBD warranty just to be covered like that.

Later DELLIENWARE will not have any spare parts for your machine anymore. They have to give you something newer or give you your money back(of course if you have extended warranty)...

I think it is worth the money. My old AW m17x R3 worked for 11 month and had graphic card failed (long story of overheating GeForce 580M). Got it replaced within 2 days. So I paid to extend warranty. Card failed once again in 11 month and somehow damaged motherboard. Got them replaced in 3 days . Paid once again for extended warranty. Forget to extend it next year, but luckily nothing failed ever since. Mobo still up and running

I've always said the same on these, the warranty is an insurance for your investment. If anything happens, you know you'll be covered. There's nothing like having peace of mind.

I was actually told it was out of stock and they had to wait. Also they quoted me 200 cdn for 1 yr. Just got off the phone with a dell warranty rep and he quoted me $490 all in for 3 years. What do you guys think?

You might be able to negotiate it a little more, I think I got 3 years including accidental for 400 USD.
