    Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the glass touchscreen in the AW 17 R2 and replace it with the matte plastic? Of course this would remove the touch feature but would help with glare on the glass. I searched the AW 17 R2 service manual but it only mentions taking off the matte bezel on the display dissassembly. I suspect the glass is held on by adhesive and may be a pain to remove needing a heatgun and patience.

The screen itself has its original coating still which is matte. But when you remove the touchscreen layer you lack a bezel.

You can get a new bezel for $30 from parts-people, question is how do you remove the glass touchscreen. Is it held on by adhesive? The plastic bezel just clips on and off.

So for those who are not happy with the 220nit panel. would it be that hard to obtain a complete lid from a 300 nit r2 and swap them? I understand your mad at Dell for changing the panel but that might be an option if they dont do anything to rectify it for you guys.
