    Hello everyone,

Sorry to bother. I wanted to ask about the display specifications for the AW17.
Is there a specific refresh rate and NTSC % for the "17.3 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare 300-nits Display" option (AW17R2 basic IPS panel)?

Talking to a Dell representative, they were very helpful but ranged the base IPS display at 60-120hz and 72.5-90% NTSC.
I read that the base panel for AW15 was rated 60hz, and so I was wondering if the AW17's base display was also 60hz with 72% NTSC or if it was perhaps more?

likewise, perhaps there was some confusion since there are two display options.
Is the AW17R2 Truelife display possibly 120hz and 90% NTSC?
And the AW17R2 basic display possibly 60hz and 72% NTSC?

both sound very impressive for a 17.3 IPS display.

I'm currently trying to decide between an AW17R2, EuroCOM M5 Pro with the upgrade for 17.3 AUO B173HW01 V.4 90% NTSC TN Panel, or waiting another month to see if Clevo releases an IPS screen of equal or similar specs, so this information would be very helpful in my decision. If anyone's curious, I do more photos and graphics than I do gaming (but I want to game too to keep in touch with friends :p)

    Thank you very much!

Both the Truelife and basic display are 60 Hz if I can recall correctly.

I've talked to Eurocom, and they say they're going to be offering more 17.3" panel options starting this month.

The panel used on the new AW17 is an LG IPS panel, which is I believe either the one used in the ASUS G751 or the Acer V Nitro. It is also used in the Lenovo Y70. Look up reviews for these laptops and they should give you the information you're looking for.

    So either

    thank you!

    Ah...
that answers a lot. It's like suddenly all the 17.3 IPS discussions are merging together!
but that also creates some new questions. Like the quality of the display, since I've read people both for and against that display.
Like you said, I suppose it's more searching and reading for me.
I still don't know why the representative gave me ranges, but I'm glad I asked on the NBR forums for confirmation.
Part of me wants to just buy the AW17R2 and have it all done with.
Ahaha. Maybe Eurocom will release the new panels before I make my decision.
