    Hi folks,

My AW15 R2 failed to come out of sleep a few times recently, so given that I'm on BIOS 1.2.3 I thought I would give 1.2.8 a shot. It failed to flash - black screen + alienfx for several minutes after reboot. When I lost patience and restarted it was still at 1.2.3. Has this happened to anyone?

I've since read something about overclocking troubles and potential 950 Pro performance issues with BIOS 1.2.8. Apparently, the key repeat rate bug is still there as well. Is this BIOS worth upgrading to from 1.2.3 at all?

    Thanks for any hints

Flashed successfully the second time... some 950 pro benchmarks didn't change (AS SSD, magician) - crystaldiskmark sequential write took a hit, so overall it's probably fine. I do hope system stability improves...

Well, BIOS 1.2.8 didn't really resolve the failures to wake up. Pretty annoying.

I think the sleep issue is with windows and less of the computer

Possibly, I suspect this happens when I press the sleep button and shut the lid without waiting for it to fall asleep.

Even using boot camp on a MacBook the sleep never quite worked correctly when I close the lid. Always worked in OS X though.

That may be what is happening. You may as well reinstall the video drivers, they handle most of the sleep/wake-up process.
