    Hi all-

AW 15 with W7 installed into secondary drive (ssd) is currently booting bios twice--before booting into windows.

When I say booting bios twice , I mean Alienware logo screen where status bar at the bottom fills up indicating bios load and it's where you hit F2 or F12 to get into the bios menu or boot option. What would happen is the status bar fill up half way, system reboots, status bar fills all the way up and now it boots into windows..

Machine is in legacy boot mode .

Is this normal? How do i make it stop considering this adds several seconds to the boot time.

Legacy mode is your issue, it is known to extend boot times.... What you need to do is install W7 on a drive with the GPT partition rather than using old school MBR, then you could turn legacy mode off and your boot times will be quicker.

See here to set your boot drive for GPT partion - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/dn336946.aspx

You will then need to make sure that your install USB is UEFI compatible, this can be done using Rufus ( https://rufus.akeo.ie/), make sure to select the UEFI option when burning you W7 ISO to the USB otherwise the install might not see the drive.
