I would suggest looking for a set of cans made for ears and not laptops. I'm sure that would do you better in the long run.

On a more serious note - The only way to answer your question is to know how much you want to spend on it.

Also, are you expecting it to have a microphone on it? Although keep in mind - at a certain point(actually, pretty much always) you're way better off buying a great set of headphones and using a seperate microphone. You'll end up with alot better sound quality than from any gaming headset, not only for you but also for the people you're gaming with.

I'm personally using the Sennheiser PC360 headset and the Kingston HyperX Cloud II -- Both headsets are fantastic with the Kingston being significantly cheaper without compromising on audio quality. I personally suggest the Cloud II primarily because of its price/performance ratio and its actually a rebranded pair of headphones by QPad, which holds a pretty good reputation in the saturated headphone industry.

This is more of a subjective experience, though. Your mileage may vary.

Cheers for letting me know what you're using folks and for the input.

I went for a set of Sennheiser HD280 pro's, thanks Splintah for pointing me in that direction, they look to be perfect for my needs!

    Thanks folks!

    Sound Blaster ZXR,

Wireless - Go to washroom without remove your headset.
Talk Through - without remove your headset when someone talk to you.
Receive Phone Call Sync with your smartphone without pause your game.
Multiple way connect to smartphone, I connected to my tab , phone & AW15 on the same time, I could pick what I wanted to play(sound)

I used to like to use a set of wireless cans, but then they got heavy. Switched to bluetooth headset, and couldn't be happier.

Older bluetooth devices both in transceiver and receiver does lag, but 3.0 and 4.0 headsets\receiver have gotten better over the years. Now they're great in both response and range. Using an LG tone+.

If you want the most comfortable sonically neutral headphones in this range then consider the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32ohms. You can put these on for hours and not feel a thing. They are one of the most comfy headphones in the world right now.

Steelseries Siberia Elite will let you glow like your notebook, but I have my doubts about the sound quality in gaming headphones.

I do like having the dedicated device though, bluetooth always gives me hassle but if you have a static setup I could see how it does the job. The wifi based headset is pretty much instant though, enough to keep up with my high refresh rate gaming.

Logitech G35, I would have get the G930 but it's just too heavy for longer gaming session. It's the cheapest and best budget 7.1 Virtual surround sound headset in where I live. I've been using it ever since my old M14xR1, carry on to my desktop and now with my new AW 15 and it's still rocking like a baus :p
