Hello, so I have recently had (another) problem with my A15 R1.... Basically my secondary HDD will randomly disappear after some time using the computer. Sometimes its fine, and there, but others, its completely gone from "My Computer." If it helps I am running Windows 10..

The HDD in question is the toshiba mq01abd100 1TB HDD. I was wondering, is there any diagnostic tool I could download to verify the drive? I dont mind wiping it if need be, as I have the data backed up.. Sometimes I notice it hangs when I click on files within the HDD and takes a while to load. Again, any way you know that I could test the health of it would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks.

look at BIOS for intel smart response ... if you have it, change it for AHCI.
and intel rapid storgate is a program that can be found at program list ... try with the first thing and if this doesnt work, try installing it Intel rapid storgate. for some reason tou pc is disconecting your HDD to safe energy.
