    980m overclocking?

    People seem to get a great performance boost by overclocking their 980m in alienware 17r2. I did a little research online and I found out that nVidia no longer supports overclocking. So I'd like to ask for instructions on doing overclock to 980m please :)

    EDIT: wow I just downloaded MSI afterburner and I did a 135 MHz boost to core clock and a 277 MHz boost to memory clock. Now I just scored 9154 on firestrike!!!! Before that I did another firestrike test and I scored 8429. I didn't know msi afterburner was working.

    I used throttlestop and HWiNFO 64.

    Grab Nvidia Inspector here or here, and select "Show Overclocking" after running it. The two offsets to tweak are "Base Clock" (Core clock speed) and "Memory Clock". Increase slowly and test for instability or screen artifacts.
