    I have this same exact one and stop using it because at full load it overheats like hell and causes both the original power plug and power port at the laptop to both heat up a lot. I would recommend to stick to original power plug or just buy this and use it when you are not gaming/rendering/simulating ... etc. just when you are lightly using the machine.

    had the same connector, not for heavy duty use, works for about a week, then the connector to the computer got loose and I would lose power with moement. It also cause alot of tension and stress on the power port.

    To be honest, how far the cable sticks out the back should also be the mount of space you leave for the computer to expel hot air. Keep in mind at any given time you are expelling out 120F + Air out the back of the laptop, it will cause the laptop among everything else around it to heat up. Just something to think about if you plan on pushing a laptop closer to a wall or backplate.
