    1tb hd usually slow ?

    im getting my m2 ssd tommorow thank god as ive been noticing this laptop is bloody slow with the 1tb hd,is this common for these ? boot up is slow and everything is very slow for about the first 10 to 15 mins & hd light is on solid or constantly flickering ! not had this long still getting my way round it & i hope the 256gb m2 ssd will make a big diffrence

    hdd is cancer

    how slow is it to die from cancer? that's how slow a hdd is if you use it as a boot drive

    Jumping from SATA HDD to SSD is a major jump. Jumping from an HDD to an NVME M.2 SSD is even bigger. Boot times I'm guessing like 1/5 the time? It'll be way way faster in every regard.

    i have 1tb 2,5" hdd at 5400 and is really slow (75mb/s), the good thing is that i use it as third drive and i save trash on it, the best thing is that is super quiet

    Oh how did you do it? Its near 2017 and using a HDD to boot up should be a sin :p. Glad you're getting a M.2 SSD. It's night and day difference!!!!

    Been using HDDs for 8-10 yrs and after using PCIe NVMe the difference is huge.

    That would also mean. Those OEM who makes HDD slot is a sinner :p
    Specialy those without ssd option
