I've was waiting for the better qhd panel to be released and following the forums. Life kicked in and I'm WAY behind now.

Right now I'm still rockin a less than happy with FHD panel. I've had zero wow factor since buying this a couple years ago when compared to my 17r3. If I did nothing but stair at benchmarks all day, sure... the 17r4 is doing great. But, real world application: I'm hoping a better display panel breaths new life into her.

    Soooo...

I'm interested in the best 120hz QHD panel available and would really appreciate a point in the right direction.

Unless there are good supporting reasons to go UHD instead, I've read that the 120hz display is really really smooth.

    Opinions?

I know I need to replace my edp cable (direct from Dell or outside source?)

Tomorrow: new pads and paste since the tech replaced my mobo, kryonaut and fujipoly XR-m. Took her apart for a good cleaning last week, noticed some pads not even making contact with the heatsink.....

I've had both... Hands down TN QHD 120hz is the way to go. UHD just didn't scale well and you can't game at AAA games at 4k anyway

    Thank you!

Current panel model w/ out lines, without auto dimming?

Been trying to read up but seems like if it isn't one problem there's another.

Gathering info/opinions before pulling the trigger.

    Thanks again!

Well, as much as I'd love to have more than 66hz, the colors on the QHD were just too bad.
So, it all depends on what you want to sacrifice. Some (most) people don't seem to notice how crappy the QHD looks, and they're happy with their 120 fps.
I have both, and while I don't like having a 4k display (as stated, gives scaling issues sometimes, and you can't play full settings on 4k on most modern games), I'm totally fine with having a 60hz display that shows decent colors.
