Ok guys, been a while since i been here. Didn't realize they make vinyl wraps for them, are they decent?

I travel for work every week, and my biggest fear is tossing the laptop in TSA bins at the airport lol

You can just leave your laptop in the neoprene case at the airport. That's how I've always done it and I've been on about 10 flights in the last 6 months. In Europe though so not sure how the TSA is about this.

I've never had to take it out of the sleeve, only out of the bag. So far no issues with that whatsoever.

I had to do it every single time, at Amsterdam Airport, Berlin, Frankfurt, Heathrow etc.

Huh, the more you know I guess. So far I've tried only in Berlin (Schönefeld and Tegel), Munich, Oslo and Molde.

Either way, I'm guessing you can also put it on top of the sleeve in one of those bins?

Not to stray too far off-topic, but I know that besides D-brand there are also chinese vendors on Ebay selling the vinyl sheets for a lot less.

Mennn I had so much trouble at Schönefeld, the airport employee checking the bags didnt like me so he made sure to take his sweet time, he constantly said they had to recheck my bag. Took me 20 minutes to get through and almost missed my flight :D Same reason. Laptop was still in the bag. Had to remove it.

Often you can indeed place it on top of the sleeve.

The Dbrand skins have a much better fit. The chinese are often a little bit smaller so you see those edges coming through.
