I am getting the runaround from a lot of dell people so i figured to ask you all, as you know so much more.
I got a skylake 6820 17r3 in my cart but it disappeared, then when i asked about it the support people said it couldnt have happened and couldn't help me.
Here's my questions, this is my desired specs give or take little things, is this possible or not? And is it possible to make it better?
17r3
6820 skylake
980m vid
32gb ram
1tb os drive with 1tb storage 7200 (though id like to make these bigger with 2x of the 850 pro 2tb samsungs)
(or faster with the 950 pros, thoughts please)
graphics amp with 12gb titan x
extra battery and extra power cords (x2)
backpack
longest warranty and longest accident prevention
thanks
Aaron

samsung 950s, I think are NVMe. People on another thread have said that AW 15/17 don't support NVMe. Suggest you confirm this. Also the NVMe drive generate a ton of heat hitting +80C in a few secs under load.

Also which country did you place this order in since AW still doesn't mention Skylake on their websites?
6820HK, 980m, 1tb 7200 hdd are all possible. Someone else will have to confirm the 12GB Titan X on the the graphic amp and the 32 GB RAM. I still don't know if the AW supports DDR4 to 32gb. -
i see,...
i was told that if i wanted to put two 16gb in myself to get it up to 32gb i coudl but they didnt have that option online...
it was a New Zealand Dell site where i was configuring but it was there -
Skylake supports 64gb RAM but the problem is does AW support 32gb ram or more using 2 dimms. Their AW 15R2/17R3 only supported upto 16gb over 2 dimms. The AW 18 supports 32gb since it has 4 dimms. -
o believe they told me it woudl support 32gb if i got my own ram and put it in...are there 32gb dimms i coudl get that woudl work and allow me 64gb ram?
