Guys just received my refurbished laptop and everything looks great. Temps look good but there is the core differential problem but max temp after occt test at stock settings reached 75 high with 65 on the other cores. anyway...

The sound although it sounds good, it sounds a bit low in terms of volume. even on highest audio, the sound still isn't that loud compared to my dell xps l702x. any feedback or suggestions? could it be malfunctioning or if it was malfunctioning it would be disoriented or bass related?

    thank you.

    George

Have you tried changing Audio quality from 16 bit to 24 bit 192kHz Studio quality?
Right click on Sound icon, select Playback devices > Advanced.

Have you checked out the Alienware Sound Center? I use the "Movie" preset for movies and the "Alienware" preset for games and music, both with the bass turned all the way up and volume leveling off. My custom EQ settings make the laptop sound quite amazing; it surpasses the XPS in my opinion with these settings. [IMG]
