So I think I've decided against the 17r4 (been waiting on the 7820 and 1080) but decided I want more mobility . . . I've not been gaming a ton lately but when I do it's mostly Diablo 3 or Doom tho I do have a bunch of games that I want to play (Dishonored 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider)

I'm also thinking the 1070 will be ok as I can get the AGA if needed and get whatever the next gen card is. Any major drawbacks with the AGA?

Also any updates coming to the 15r3 that I should wait for?

    Thanks for the advice!

The only update that could be on the horizon is potentially some screen updates. For the most part the hardware will be standard for most of 2017.

I've had both and would say that the 15 R3 is so heavy and big that the actual IRL difference to the AW17 R4 is rather small when it comes to portability (well, dragability rather :D ) it is not that much difference. So I would recommend the AW17 instead. If you however needed something for your daily commute over the Atlantic it would recommend...something else :D

I either travel or work from home and 95% of the time I work from home any more . . . .so you guys have convinced me to wait and for the 7820 and 1080 . . . hopefully it's just a couple of weeks away from being an available configuration.

    Thanks for the replies!
