    15r3 4K G-sync screen replacement?

    Im looking for a new laptop, and from everything I have read the 15r3 seems like a dream machine.

    Except...

    I want a QHD or UHD screen WITH G-sync. Ive been looking at the Aorus x5 v6 but the quality control issues, price, and customer support all leave a bad taste in my mouth.

    I've read that a 17r4 was successfully retrofitted with a different screen to fix banding issues, I was wondering if there were compatible screens with the options I want that I could slap into a FHD G-sync 15r3?

    Yes I've heard that 4K is pointless to have on a 15 inch screen because you won't see the difference, but I want what I want and I have better vision than most.
