    hi

dont know if this has been posted before.
I think after few BIOS update, 15R2 starts like this.
when I power on, the fan is on, keyboard light is on then it's off within 5 seconds.
i have to power on again to be able to boot normally.
it's kinda annoying, does anyone know whats the issue here?
I tried to install the old BIOS but it doesnt seems to help.
    and im out of warranty.

Did you do a power reset?
I had this issue briefly. Mine did turn on and fans were spinning at max rpms and turned off itself. I did a power reset, cleaned RAM Chip's gold contacts and reseated SSDs and so far no issues. I'm on 1.3.12.

Open the back panel and disconnect the battery plug which is right after DC cable. Then press button for a minute to flush out all electrons.
I cleaned the gold contacts of SSD and RAM using microfiber cloth.

Disconnect battery cable too otherwise it will work on battery.
My alienware just now exhibited same issue but it was stuck at Alienware Logo.
