Hello, I'm planning to buy 15 r3 UHD with G-Sync, but I couldn't find any review on that model. Does anyone have that one? I hope to know how the display looks good.

are you sure do you want UHD on a 15" display ?? i think is better a 1080p with 120hz refresh rate

If you want high res, run with it. 4k will also look great for movies and such. You will like it. I have seen 4K on these and they are very nice. Windows scaling, however, is a different story.

And this is why I haven't bought anything higher than FHD or WUXGA. Windows scaling is an ugly mess, the one thing Mac OS does so much better

Question, Is there any downside to simply scaling down, say using 1440P on a 4k screen?

It can look blurry due to pixels not becoming perfectly 1:1 in use
