Is the 120 hz tn panel worth the time and money to replace to from ips 60hz? I seen a thread awhile ago talking about screen upgrades for the 17, also seen a video but it made it look like the tn had more saturation and terrible viewing angles not really sure, anyone have this done? Thanks.

I replaced IPS display for TN 120hz and i cant be happier. Depends which games you want to play and which GPU you have in your laptop.
I have 1070 so i want additional frames for PUBG which i mostly play.

My TN panel have nice colors, but viewing angles are very terrible.
IPS have backlight bleed which i dont have on TN.

You need to choose compromise or try new models of IPS 144hz, if will works with LVDS cable.
