I have seen others having the same issue, basically my killer 1535 network card is randomly showing no internet for the present network and upon trying to reconnect no networks are listed. Upon going into network adapters the killer wifi adapter has been disabled and will not enable despite attempts requiring restart. This has been happening ever since I have had the laptop. Have not stooped to calling tech support yet until I can rule out software.

After I reinstalled driver it looked like the problem was fixed and was able to download over 15gb steam game and worked for a couple of days no problem. However problem has come back while just surfing the internet. I have bitdefender install but have it disabled presently, I also turn off windows defender because I am offline and its not required however contactly requires to disable and is annoying, thinking about creating a script to constantly disable it automatically :biglaugh:

Steps I have taken to troubleshoot (I still need to check event viewer next time issue happens):
    • reinstalled killer 1535 drivers version 1.1.56.1603 (killer website)
    • reinstalled killer 1535 drivers dell website
    • install just drivers with no killer suite software package
    • disabled antivirus software
Driver reinstalls where done after removing driver package from programs and feature AND in device manager followed by a reboot and reinstall. Is there a killer driver uninstall tool that anyone knows of? I am tempted to reinstall windows 10 for all the bugs I have such as the wifi disabling and recently have been getting logged on with a temporary profile (online windows account) and its very annoying. Also for some odd reason my mouse cursor will frequently have a brief pause while opening an application or browsing windows(havent noticed any ill effect in game). Noticed it wasnt happening after I uninstalled graphics driver and came back after I reinstalled them, could just be coincedence.

I'm gonna state the obvious here, did you try a wired connection to see if it fixes it?

No I have not been able to test with a wired connection yet, I suspect it would work no problem because just the wireless card is showing to be disabled in adapter settings. I am running on a verizon mifi hotspot right now so there is no wired connection to hook into.

Well the killer card is a network interface card, meaning that with either a wireless or wired connection all data packet have to pass through it, so by trying a wired connection we can narrow down the potential causes.

If a wired connection works without a hitch then it is possibly a problem related to the antennae or something related to it on the card, if it does the same with wired connection as wireless connection then it is possibly a problem somewhere else on the NIC card and will need to be replaced.

All the above is ofc under the condition that you have tried all possible software solutions.

Edit: also if you haven't tried reseating the card itself i advise you do so, it can simply be a bad connection to its port.

I will go ahead and reseat the card later today once I get chance hopefully it turns out to be software problem or just a bad wfi car and not mobo issue. Thanks for the help will ya posted.

I doubt its a major issue tbh.

If its been doing that since you've had the laptop, hardware issues will have surfaced and became worse by now.

My guess is it just needs a reseat.

I had the same problem and got feed up with it. I ordered an Intel 7265NGW off of Amazon. Installed it and haven't had any problems since.

One note though. The killer card is not only attached with a screw, but with double sided tape. It took me a while to figure out why it wasn't popping out. I almost destroyed the card before I realized I needed to separate it with a spudger.

I have the same problem as the original poster. I uninstalled all of the killer drivers and software and let it use the drivers windows installs. Haven't had a problem with it since doing that.

I have reinstalled windows 10 and installed all drivers from dell site except the killer wireless and ethernet drivers. Those I just downloaded from killer site drivers only. I havent had a problem yet have been using it for past 6 hours will see if it last.
