Is a qhd 120hz display available in non g-sync?

I know but I am interested in nvidia optimus which isn't a option on g-sync models and dell is trying to help me replace a laptop I ordered that came with the wrong configuration. Everything I have read plus when I did a chat with Dell support said all 1440p display's have g-sync, but the agent I am working with on the phone keeps telling me the replacement doesn't have g-sync but is a 1440p display

I am under the impression that all 120Hz panels do not have optimus (even if they do not have g-sync). I think the Dedicated gpu is direct to panel (bypassing iGPU) in order to properly drive 120Hz panel.

There are 1440P non 120Hz and non g-sync displays that exist; but I do not think Dell has any. The guys over the phone will say anything

What I was a afraid of. Figured I need a ips screen and most likely only 1080p which I am okay, from what I read they overclock fairly well

Think the only option for 1440p is the 120hz TN.

The 120hz TN B173QTN01.4 models work on a optimus board. You just cant go into performance only mode or the screen just blacks out. Have to stay in the optimus mode.

You would have to buy the screen yourself on ebay for like $130, Dell won't let you have a 120hz screen with non-gsync board.
