Ordered a XPG GAMMIX 1TB S11 Pro 3D NAND PCIe NVMe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 with no idea if it'll actually fit.

The specs aren't clear...pretty sure the 13 R2 is key B and spec S2. So many different types!

    Currently my 13 R2 has an NVMe PM951 C:\ and a SAMSUNG SSD CM871 D:\.

But I think both connectors will allow NVMe ?

    Thanks

yes both will. I have 2x2tb m.2 970evo nvme's in raid 0 in my 13r3. That drive wont fit with that heatsink on it, but the drive itself will.

Gotcha. That's exactly what I thought based on what I found...thanks for confirming that.

Considering a 2 TB Intel 660 or something as a backup drive. Bit slower, but the price is sure right.

    Thanks again

As long as you don’t plan to write a lot at a time or use it as a working drive for like video editing or server based stuff your fine.

Update: the Gammix fit - but it has a bit of a heatsink, so the 4-screw shield that surrounds both SSD's is a bit tight, but does fit. And dang it is FAST
