I flashed it twice, but even though I have my multis set to 40 they won't go over 36. CPU-Z reports 8-40 range, but it won't go past 36.

    Anyone else have this issue?

I'm still on 1.2.3, but open up XTU and change the multipliers there to 40x on all four cores...it should stick.

It's strange but do as mentioned earlier and you'll get your 4ghz. Now the strange thing is that the settings don't auto load upon windows starting from a cold boot (for example voltage offset and stuff) but for some reason you'll keep your 4ghz. Have hwmonitor open and you'll see the max clock be correct. However for me, my issue is that I'm capped at 40 multiplier regardless if set in bios or xtu so I have no idea what to do if you want to go higher.

    Also to add:

It seems to be that whatever you set in BIOS (multipliers) is the max of which will stick in XTU.

So if you set your BIOS to 40x on all four cores, this is the max XTU will be able to apply as well even though you may enter 41x for example. It's strange I know....

The cap may also apply to the voltage settings for the CPU.

    XTU already shows
    40x
    40x
    39x
    39x

but thats not what the CPU is running at.

Try reflashing bios and reset bios settings. That should do it.

Oddly I had to flash, reset, then try. Then resetting again and that time it solved it. No clue why as I had also flashed it 2-3 times already. Strange.

Yea I don't know why you need to do that. I was able to go beyond multiplier 40 on 1.2.3 but no longer. But at least it works now!

    *puts on tin foil hat*

dell is crippling performance of the HK processors!

    *puts off*

Maybe it's just a mistake in Dell's part when coding for 1.2.6 revision?
