hi guys how are you doing?

Well, im having some internet lag issues that i've noticed for a few weeks. It simple started....

I already called to my internet provider, and everything is normal there. Also i dont have those lags in smartphones and tablets at home.

Is it possible that some driver, like Killer, is affecting the internet? Or my avast internet security? Dont really know.

Almost always when i start League of Legends, i have some ping issues (issues that i wasnt having a few weeks/month ago).

Another weird problem: everytime that my father's laptop connects to the WIFI, the internet sometimes goes off, and so i have to disconnect his laptop, and turn off and on the modem + router (LOL ?!)

The router WPA Mode is set to " WPA ONLY", with Cipher Type as " TKIP and AES", since it was the only one that allowed my AW15R3 to connect on my wifi internet...and the router says it is for "maximum compatibility".

    My router is a little old...i have D-Link DIR 655 (Hardware Version: A3 // Firmware Version: 1.11).

If anyone knows anything, i would really appreciate. Thanks

I recommend you change the cipher to AES with WPA2. Also switch the channel to 11 instead of Auto and change the DNS to google if ISP allows you.
One more thing, switch to 802.11n radio with ht20/40 co existence.
EDIT: If you are interested consider updating the firmware to latest one 1.37 http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-655

i'll try to do everything. About the channel, i cant change it. The WIRELESS CHANNEL is set as " 2.437 Ghz - CH 6" and i cant select another option.

Also couldnt find this "DNS to google". and this "ht20/40 co existence"

    My 802.11 Mode is set as " MIXED 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b". Should i set as " 802.11n ONLY"?

    Thanks @Vasudev

Yes, set it to 11n if all devices you connect supports 11n and upwards.
Simply uncheck Auto scan Channel and set it. Check channel width to Auto if there's an option, even 20/40MHz means the same.
Set WPA mode to WPA/WPA2 with cipher as AES.

Tell her to stop using flash and move to html5. You can also try tweaking the beacon interval time. Don't forget to download latest app profiles in killer every week or bi-weekly.

this part of Killer i never knew. How/where do i download this latest app profiles? How do they help?

When i open killer, is that option in "Settings" > "download most recent priorities for apps"?

My connections from Alienware is now great, but her samsung tab is still with the problem (sometimes while watching videos in instagram/FB, they keep loading and loading, so she have to close the video and open again > the problem doesnt happen in my galaxy, in her galaxy phone and etc)

My notebook AW15R3 now is working good. The problem that is happening is at my moms tablet and my dads notebook (his problem is that when his note connects in the wifi network, a few minutes later the whole network goes down, so i have to turn off and on the modem + router).

the problem on her tablet is:
Wow your Killer software is nice. I guess is another version of mine.... Maybe my version is old, and that's why the problem with my mom's tablet, or this doesnt affect the network for other devices, since my it is my notebook that has the Killer on it? I mean, does killer on my AW can affect other devices in the network?

Im using Killer network manager 1.1.67.1763 (i've donwloaded this version of Killer Suite that time when killer was bugged while downloading larger files and internet was going down...)

    Here some Screen Shots:

Revo is another software to complete remove ? Removing only via control panel do the job or not? If not, Revo is free? After removing via revo, i should reboot and them install KCN or it isnt necessary?

I'll remove it and install the new KCN and see if it works...

    What about this question:

Yeah sometimes Killer can kill routers, happened to me yesterday when I migrated to ac router. Had to tweak some settings and all is fine.
    Revo is free https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
After uninstall the installer will prompt reboot, click No and select advanced scanning in revo to remove all traces. After that, do a reboot and install new killer driver and then follow these tips in post #4 Killer vs. Intel network cards performance

i did everything you said right now. I'll test for today and friday, post the results here ok?

Some thing i've noticed this morning:

    1) my notebook was connected, them i turn on the desktop, and it hanst connection. So i disconnect my AW, reset modem and router, reboot desktop, and back the connection. Them, after it was connected, i connected the AW in wifi, and everything ok.

    2) Second thing i've noticed (dont know if this happened before): when i tried using laptop without power charger, the internet was unstable and kept disconnecting and connecting....only after i plugged back the charger that AW normalized.

Post more results/bug here tomorrow :) . Does this Killer Control Center is better than suite? In apps section, which value should i left for apps, suchs as League of Legends, Team Speak, Chrome, Firefox, etc?

On older releases of Killer driver there was network instability on battery.
Download the new driver and apply tweaks I mentioned in previous thread and everything will be fine. Optionally, upgrade your router firmware to latest.

I use default values fetched by Killer.
