Hi . I just order two samsung 950 pro 512 for my pc and my alienware 17 r2.
When I put the samsung 950 to m.2 slot 1 . I cant turn on my laptop . The alienware logo is still have led on it but when I try push the power button . it's turning off the led and after 3-4 sec the led turning on again but nothing happen there . When pull the samsung 950 pro out , everything start normally ... I think my ssd is dead . But when I put it to my z170 rig , everything is fine . I swap another ssd to my alienware and it cant turn on again . I see many people can use samsung 950 pro with 17 r3 , but what about 17 r2 ? Does is support m.2 nvme SSD ?

The 17 R2 does not support PCIe or NVME M.2 SSDs.

    No...the R3 supports PCIe/NVMe, not the R2.
