    Is it possible? - Yes

    Is it stable? Yes

Is it practical? - Eh...not really. From 60Hz to 120Hz, yes, but after 120Hz only the trained eye, which is very rare can really tell a difference.

Is it safe? - Mmm...it's along the lines of this:

"If you have a car that is turbo and it is set to 20psi...then you crank it up for fun and blow a gasket... just don't sit there scratching your head wondering what happened." ROFL... comprende?

I've got it up to 131Hz, but just toned it down a notch to an even 130Hz.

    For giggles...

Disclaimer: OC at your own risk.

Nice, i guess it's the same as in the P775DM3 and P870DM3? Only got mine up to 126hz stable, everything more introduced some sort of flickering

Nice. Yea like most all things, they are not created equal so I'm curious to see if anyone with the QHD can get it past 131Hz stable. I have yet to test my other 3 17R4's that I have as well. :p

just curious did you only tweak the frequency itself or did you even tinker with vertical and horizontal pixels too?

If you're using a FULLHD 120hz panel, you can try to overclock it to 144 hz. The default "Vertical Total" on desktop 144hz monitors is VT 1098 (1920x1080 monitors). You can try that in ToastyX CRU on a 120hz laptop and see if that works.

Not sure what the default VT is for 2560x1440@144hz however. Maybe try "LCD Reduced" in toastyX CRU.

"but after 120Hz only the trained eye, which is very rare can really tell a difference."

not true. 120 to 130 you aren't going to notice a difference. 120 to 144 you will. 120 to 240 you definitely will, depending on the game.

I guess it depends on the person. I personally can't tell the difference with anything higher than 96hz.

Not true? Tell that to a seasoned pro gamer lol.

It's obviously not night and day from 120 to 130... We all know that.

This is also more for giggles... Not that serious...
Correct. Some people who are Uber familiar with a certain game can tell the slightest difference.

Not sure how you came to such an odd number. I guarantee you can tell the difference though. That smooth motion crap some TV's use looks like garbage and those are running at 120hz+ *everyone* notices those.

I only came across it because I have a desktop monitor I overclocked and I see no need to OC it past my visible range. 96 is divisible by 24(movie fps) which is why I chose it.

Yeah that smooth motion is crap, I agree, but the only reason everyone notices it is because we're all programmed into watching 24 fps content on 60hz screens. Me noticing that don't mean I can see 120hz - it just means I can see a difference above 24fps, up to my personal limit.

But that's because the processing unnaturally sharpens and artifacts what should normally be blurry in film.
