So today the technician came and brought the 240 watt supply and changed my cpu fan + heatsink. Now my cpu no longer throttles at all (not even the slightest bit) while playing games. But now the core temperature sticks at about 80-85 degree celcius under load. And while running OCCT power supply test , the test always aborts as core temperature exceeds 85 degrees ( occt limits the max cpu temp for test). Should i be worried regarding this?
btw @Alienware-L_Porras i have some feedback for the service. Can i PM you?
Edit 1: While all the testing i used hwinfo to max out both the fans in the laptop

It puts load on everything in your system, HDD's, GPU's, and CPU cores, basically pushes your computer to the highest power usage it will ever reach. Buy a kill-a-watt so you can see the maximum power consumption during the test. The processor can run up to 100 degrees without processor will have problem. 85-90-95 degrees should be no problem for a processor. But it's not very good with such high temperature over time.

Using an extraordinary thermal interface material (TIM) such as Liquid Ultra (the best of the best) or IC Diamond (also excellent) will help with what you are experiencing. If the technician used the phase change pad pre-applied to the new heat sink from the factory, that would explain the mediocre thermals you are seeing. That material is very durable and does an OK job, but it marginally effective, as are the vast majority of popular thermal pastes out there. At least the factory TIM is durable and many of the popular aftermarket pastes are not. So, long story short, get some Liquid Ultra or IC Diamond and repaste the CPU. Look around here and you will find some excellent instruction for application of Liquid Ultra. It needs to be applied differently.

yeah it was factory preapplied TIM .... i dont have a problem in repasting my cpu on my pc and other notebooks but this laptop is abysmally closed system(its way harder to dismantle than previous alienware laptops).... anyways i think at least this time the paste job will be better cz the factory applied TIM was applied in kinda sad way, i mean it was everywhere but on the chip cleaned it myself then let the technician apply the new heatsink..... they don't even send technicians with alcohol tissue, etc.
[AW 15]Thermal throttling stopped but core temperatures are pretty high now
