    Paragon backup is what Dell uses and has listed on their site. A free version is also available here: Free Backup Software: Paragon Backup & Recovery Free Edition - Overview

    It is a good alternative to Acronis and you can back up locally or to a network location. Some HDD manufacturers (like Seagate and Western Digital) also offer free software, but it is a rebranded version of Acronis.

    Removing the keyboard is rather easy, you just have do it carefully, so you don't break anything.

    The only part I found tricky is to attach the cable to the keyboard : it is a very small connector and the cable has no "pluggable" connector, but you must insert it and try to close a very tiny and fragile switch (at least, that's what I figured).
    The first time, I made a mistake : I put back the black tape that was protecting this connector, but it was not adhesive any more, so the connector went lose after I moved the laptop. :realmad:
    Then I put new adhesive on it, and it is now OK.

    Don't worry too much, since your hands may shake and good luck.

    The replacement part number for the 0G2TC [Module,Palmrest,CTSC,SWIPEFP,M6600] you ordered is J90F9. With the exception of the ribbion cables and interconnects, there is no individual part # for the fingerprint reader or the other attached components used in the palmrest itself since Dell replaces the entire palmrest when an issue is present on one of these attached components - even if they are removable. This is where the third party aftermarket parts sources come in handly if ever needed. Regardless, the FPR may be sourced using the cable part # of 4MT1F.

    MCARD = mSATA-II

    Are the Dell UP755 thermal pads only for CPU or also for GPU (ATI + Nvidia)?
    And if the UP755 does not work with GPU (ATI), what do I have to take for?

    Thank you guys for all your answers. Very fast indeed. So any of you know which 750GB 7200rpm HDD Dell install inside M6600 ? I mean brand/model ? I would like to buy second one to make them raid 0 ( since the 128GB will gonna be mSATA I will still gonna have one empty space for 2.5" HDD ). I hope that with mSATA for Windows and 2 HDD in RAID 0 this machine will gonna load games in the blink of an eye :D

    Likely Seagate. Slight chance of Samsung.

    Nice one thanks. It is on Black Monday offer only 12.50UKP $19.95 can be bad and the specs list is as good if not better than Acronis. I have really lost it with Acronis, it is so unreliable on external USB drives (Data Stream errors) and they cannot seem to fix them. They give you some ludicrous scheme of editing to fix it and then it doesn't work.

    They can be used for both, but may require two pads side by side to cover the larger GPU and CPU cores. Using a decent paste is easier than the pads anyway so I suggest going that route.

    Anyone know if the 2X BLU-RAY DISC on the M6600 is a BluRay burner?
    I think it is.
