    Thank you again

Someone can also confirm that Dell precision M3800 doesn't support pressure sensitivity also with Wacom hardware check utility provided by link?

The Precision M3800 and XPS 15 are identical except for the GPU, so if my XPS 15 doesn't support it, the M3800 won't either.

Thank you jphunghan for the precisation.

I found another interesting link where it said ntrig duo sense tecnology is implemented onto Dell precision M4600.

So probably also other product of dell like the M3800 or your xps 15 have implemented it.

Here the link of the producer ntrig but I think there isn't a check hardware utility

But there is a driver with control of pressure level.

Perhaps if some one have a pen he may say if with that driver touch capabilities like pen pressure are better.

    Windows 8 - N-trig

In any way have have a nice sunday.

No - there's no pen support. The device manager would include "HID-compliant pen" and the tablet pc settings would say "Pen and Full Windows Touch Support". I have an n-trig pen and it is not recognized.

If I understand you correctly, when you plug in your charger, it does not charge all the time. Sometimes it will require you to unplug and replug several times before a charge occurs. Both my machines have this same problem. I returned the first one and got a new second one. Issue occurred again. Last night I had the lid closed, hoping to charge it over night. When I booted up this morning, it had not charged at all. I am not sure how to fix this either...

Just got my M3800 about a week ago. Been trying to go through this entire thread and it's been really helpful with the known issues. I have a few questions:

    1. I have the QHD screen. It's great, but unfortunately mine came with a dead pixel, some small light-greyish smudges, and a small piece of dust. In use, these are not really noticable unless I'm on a white background and I'm specifically looking for it. I'm tempted to ask for a replacement, but fear that the replacement may be no better than the first. For owners with the QHD screen, is it pretty common to have some imperfections, or are people getting good perfect screens? Just wondering if asking for a replacement is worth the time and hassle and if any QC issues would have been worked out by now.

    2. When I put the system to sleep, I notice that the power button just turns off instead of the slow blinking that I'm used to with every other laptop I've owned. Is this normal for the M3800 when sleeping? I've confirmed that the machine isn't turned off or in hibernation, since waking up is fast and all programs that were open are still there. I'm also pretty sure it's not hibernation since I don't see the Dell logo upon waking. I also do not have Intel Rapid Start installed, and I don't have that extra hibernation partition required for it anyway. So is it normal to have the power button completely off when sleeping?

Other than that, so far the machine has been great. No real issues with the touchscreen or weird stuff happening. I have Windows 8.1 installed that came from the factory. I usually like to do a clean install, but this image was unbelievably clean that I decided to keep it. The only thing I did was update the BIOS to the latest and install the touchscreen firmware when I got the machine.
