Very nice! That blue is truly unique and I bet it is rare. That pic with the D/Bay next to the E4200 is a classic!

kalibar: The Intel 5300 series card is known to have issues with *some* routers. Honestly, if you are doing mega-transfers like a DVD or BD RIP frequently, it is better to use the wired network. That's my experience anyway. Having said that, let me test my 5300 with the N1 Belkin that I received today. Might as well do it now.

Do you live in an apartment or townhome? I've got a similar issue when at home, though it's not limited to use of the 5300. I'm pretty sure it's related to the 14 wireless networks I can pick up from my couch...

I just opened up my E4200 and disconnected the fan. Booted up and immediately started Prime95 and HWMonitor. 7 minutes of torture test resulted in the following:
    THM: 96C
    Core 0: 89C
    Core 1: 90C

The funny part is that I've set RMClock voltages to lowest possible (0.875V) in all modes and I still get these temperatures...

Bottom line: After hitting Submit reply I will shut off my computer and reconnect the fan :) I recommend that no one who does anything other than very light computing on their E4200 to disconnect the fan...

How I wish I could afford the blue one. *sigh*. Im still happy with my black E4200 considering how cheap I paid for it.

That's freakin hot! Now we know the loud fan is there for a reason. Using orthos CPU stress test my CPU temp reached 70C.

I wish Dell could modify the BIOS so that the fan would start spinning at say 45C instead of 40C. Or maybe spin at 3000RPM at 40C instead of almost 6000RPM.

Saosin7, that was a good move. Dell isn't stupid, and the fan is there for a good reason.

From what I can tell there are only three step modes for the fan. There is 6200RPM which is 90% of the time, there is 5200 RPM, which is rare, and there is ZERO which never happens unless you live on the North Pole. The problem is that even if you have the fan kick off at a higher temperature, it won't matter, because that temperature will be reached in a jiffy regardless.
